Peace & Justice Network (PJN) is a national registered network exclusively working on Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16 Plus) Peace, Justice, Inclusiveness and Strong Institutions, which is one of the key priority goal of Government of Pakistan. PJN consist of national and international technical experts and civil society organizations working in area of good governance, community empowerment and rule of law, with direct national coverage of over 80 percent of the Pakistan including AJK and GB. PJN provides a common and neutral platform for civil society, academia, legal experts, justice institutions, policy makers and government organizations to work together.
Promoting peace and justice is one of 17 global goals that make up the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ensuring access to justice for all, peace building and institutional accountability. PJN’s Theory of Change to build peaceful, just and inclusive societies articulate our vision for creating “a peaceful society governed by laws where the rights of individuals are secured.” The Sustainable Development Goal 2030 Agenda recognizes youth as ‘critical agents of change’ in the SDGs platform and for the ‘creation of an egalitarian Society’ as defined in the Preamble of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In this regard, PJN is initiating its project with selected Departments of Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan by engaging students for developing Peaceful, Just, Inclusive, Resilient and Progressive Pakistan. In this regard, to build a team of highly committed human resource, PJN is announcing following position for its Multan Office.

PJN's field assessment identified Modern Slavery as one of the most critical issue for Pakistan as its link to other illegal industries and not much work have been done in this regard. As per Global Slavery Index 2018 report, Pakistan is one of the 10 countries with the highest prevalence of modern slavery. Pakistan ranks 8th worst country out of 167 countries for modern slavery.
All type of modern slavery such as forced labor including labor trafficking, sex trafficking including child sex trafficking, bonded labor, forced removal of organs and debt bondage, domestic servitude (in the form of domestic work), forced child laboor (including begging), and forced marriage present in Pakistan. Elimination of modern slavery by 2030 is part of Goal 8 (target 8.7) of the Sustainable Development Goals which is the priority agenda of Pakistan but the pace of the progress is very slow.
In order to address this challenge, Peace & Justice Network in collaboration with its Social Justice Program NayaDaur is launching Modern Slavery Legal Response Center.
In this regard, to build a team of highly committed human resource, PJN is looking for a female practicing lawyer at PJN Secretariat Office for Modern Slavery Legal Response Center.
