Police dept take measures to check virus spread in personnel

RAWALPINDI: Police have taken precautionary measures against the coronavirus by displaying banners outside its establishments, including police stations, and warned that if any police official was found without face masks they would be fined.
An ambulance has been put on a standby at the Police Lines Headquarters to shift any patient suffering from fever or flu.
Thousands of masks and gloves have also been distributed among police personnel.
Police have been directed to strictly follow precautionary measures circulated by the police chief.
A spokesman for the city police officer said a large number of masks and gloves had been distributed among the personnel and sanitisers placed in offices.
He said masks and gloves had also been provided to police stations and front desk staff.
