Six policemen held for raping girl in Jacobabad police station, NCRC taken the Cognizance

#PJNJusticeWatch National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) has taken cognizance of a deeply alarming case reported from #Sindh involving the alleged gang rape of a girl by six #police officials while in custody at the #Jacobabad #PoliceStation under which six policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, were arrested.
In line with its mandate, #NCRC has formally written to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jacobabad, urging a swift, thorough, and impartial investigation. The Commission has requested a detailed report along with all supporting documents for further action.
The incident reflects grave violations of law and a serious abuse of authority by public servants responsible for citizen protection. It also raises critical concerns regarding custodial safety, misuse of power, and the failure of institutional safeguards to protect victims especially children.
