QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Wednesday decided to amend existing laws and regulations to deal with the issues faced by people and the government.
A meeting presided over by the chief minister also reviewed the importance of existing rules and regulations and amendments required in them.
The officials concerned briefed the meeting on existing laws of different government departments, necessary amendments to the Balochistan Employees’ Efficiency and Discipline Act and the Citizenship Act, 1951.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr Alyani said the government would have to give more attention to legislation and bring about changes and reforms in the existing laws according to the demands of the day.
The chief minister instructed the authorities concerned to submit suggestions and proposals to bring progressive and necessary amendments in existing laws and rules and regulations.
He further advised them to complete the procedure for amending laws and inform the next meeting.
