Police conduct 224 search operations

LAHORE:
The Lahore Police Operations Wing during the last 15 days conducted at least 224 search operations and checked more than 21,000 persons, 5,718 houses, 2,270 tenants, 203 shops, 105 hotels, 28 factories, 23 guest houses, 27 hostels, 27 bus stands, 11 churches and seven madaris. Police also took action against 284 accused persons, registered 10 first information reports (FIRs) for narcotics possession and four for illegal weapons. Moreover, 149 accused were arrested in other crimes as well as four proclaimed offenders.
